My life summary of 2019 in a year

So here I am in the last decade of 00s that will be remembered as the emergence of digital era 2.0 where everyone have access the apple of knowledge called Internet in instant using tip of fingers as I still type things in this blog using gaming keyboard that I use this entire year while waiting fireworks burst outside my room outside while my wife is watching her daily Tiktok videos. 

I am supposed to play some games tonight but I consider one getting things done called write a summary life in 2019 before 12.00 pm. So there we go. 

My Personal Life

I got married and thats something I am not expected to happen soon, but things went faster when a girl accept the engagement where we never met before but I just stated as long as we can get along. I'll be run through on track with my life companion. And now, she is about to give birth in two month while months before our relationship was kinda rocky and got typical household problem stuff. Our world and interest are pretty opposite but if its a radio, we are on the same frequency but different channel. 

There are many sacrifices to do after marriage but thats the bitter stuff I have to swallow, at least half of them. I am so lucky that my hobby is not kind bothering my wife, I am still playing video game on my PC to spend spare time, but for something productivity like making stuffs, I think its just not enough time to do. Also I started to collect things (by buying something I can afford) that interests me besides focusing my self into video game like collecting books, audio cds, lego and board games. 

So, yeah usually after spending my half day working as baker, spent the night playing some games I need to finish (I hoarded too many video games already, in the weekend taking wife to do "shopping" to add my collection in local mall. Thats all. Occasionally I met and active on local Couchsurfing met up once in a month at least. 

My Work and Financial 

Here I think about having a business getting started increasing, it takes hard work and more sweat that depletes my energy. It pays well but costs many times where somehow I manage to planning going to retire before 30s but the fact that I dont own a house yet and things that are crucial before becoming a parent. It keeps me going expanding my business while investing some of my money is my choice. 

My store has its popularity already and about 20 cakes are made everyday which I assume I already baked about thousands of cakes I sold. There are no vacation day since I am enjoying work than sitting my ass staring on monitor screen. I have ton of plans for my business and obviously I want to make it better and bigger. 

My Future Plan? 

Its 2020, a new decade will born and unknown future will come, but at least I am the man with a plan. My personal life and work are my biggest grip continuing my life. I will reach 30s, its kind of an age to be more mature and thing like becoming a responsible man what comes to my head when someone asked about it. So this is kind of the end of my last year of writing.

Review : L.A Noire - A Video Game Introduction of Noire Theme

Finished the game, not expecting for the finale story can be something to think for few days after playing about 25 hours. 

If you are interested in post-world war 2 aesthetic of 40s L.A city, Noir Film story-line style (which dont expect for happily ever after ending since the main theme is moral ambiguity of characters, also being detective as our main character Cole Phiilips, a post war veteran turned detective that you root for. 

Playing for each chapter looks like a great detective game such finding clues, spotting human that is close-realistic facial animation (which ground-breaking technology) in video game history in interrogation session and at some part there are some action like shooting and chasing after criminal in semi-open world that limits you to act as real police. Literally, its procedural and look repeating same thing I mention above except there are various kind of cases to be solved. 

At first it seem too boring to bother continuing, but the plot revealing and the intriguing of solving cases makes me to stick finishing the game where my main interest how the characters presented and written as I found that if you hear about noire films, this game is kind of introduction to understand what makes this type of detective themed game is different. 

Technically, playing on PC is kinda janky and takes time to understand the control mechanic. The environment graphic is not really impressive and the world building is just a template for the game setting that is not so much to do for exploring or doing wacky stuff in most of open world games. 

L.A Noire is kind of game that need proper time to play and I choose to finish it on midnight while outside raining and while the main music blast, i sip my coffee and it has own kind of charm why I decided to buy this game on the first place.

Review : Borderlands 2 - Pointless FPS Funny Meme One-Liner Game

Do you like playing first person shooter with small of rpg elements and ability trees, Borderland franchise is what right for you who likes grinding and loot items such rare weapons and items that help you finish the quest or fight boss without too much effort after finishing one side quest to other while you shoot same thing over and over. That’s my impression for every rpg games, and its not bad thing.

Borderland is kind of the game that you hate to play due the repetitiveness in every single quest, shoot and loot by fight against one level up stronger enemies, fetching cryptic items to reveal storyline and also inflated money that is useless to use after getting strong item to equip. And still, players can really enjoy the game theme where you can pick four different class characters which the storyline consist of bounty hunter in wasteland planet called Pandora.

The humourous tone of story-telling that makes killing psycho looks fun meanwhile players get spouted of 00’s meme catchphrase along the game by non-playable characters who are borderline of funny and annoying with the screaming and quips. Its very enjoyable storyline to get to know about an ambitious main boss want to control the planet which personally makes think its great writing of character who makes player chuckle in every single line the boss said any thing.

During the game, players can get to know more stories about character and lore if doing quest where the game relies on audio recording instead of cutscenes, but don’t bother too much doing all the task because some are too hard to do and player have to backtrack in any visited map if the players just want to progress the game only playing the main quest and that’s it, some DLC are worth to play for story but being too dull if players are already over-level because killing enemy will become a chore than challenging, there is something about “BS moment” where sometimes if players are too over-confident to fight against horde of enemy, they are likely become more hard to kill and seems the universe in this game want you to die which cost a lot of your earning money.

Borderland 2 is easy to play the game if players know how to build the skillset and know the role, eventhough I finish the game playing solo, this game can be fun as co-op game because the world and athmosphere of open world with its own unique style gives plus value because its not like AAA 3D games that will age after one decade. So its pleasing game to enjoy with friends or just playing alone.

As sidenote : Borderland 1 has slight different theme where its trying to be more serious game where later the tone in the sequel becomes more light-hearted and funny.

- Fun and Hilarious touch
- Ridiculous characters with memorable final boss
- Challenging to level up
- Trying to be meme game

Cons :

- Repetitive quest with same element of collecting stuff
- Cryptic fetch quest
- DLC are pointless if player is overpowered.
- Money are too inflated
